The Galleria Estense offers its visitors the chance to become real art detectives, on the occasion of the 18th Festival of Philosophy, under the theme of "Truth.”
The Galleria Estense has secretly replaced one of the masterpieces in its rooms with a copy created by HALTADEFINIZIONE®.
HALTADEFINIZIONE® in collaboration with specialized artisans, has managed to recreate the texture and tactile sensation of the painting’s surface, with a special technique of ink deposition, which ensures colors and details perfectly faithful to the original. One clue: the artwork in question is in the Portraits Room.
The event proved to be very popular with the public, with over 1000 admissions during the Festival.
So, which was the correct answer? It was the Portrait of an Old Man with a Book by Guercino. Only 14% of all participants guessed right.
