Beginning this week through June (2012) one of the symbols of Italian Renaissance art, Botticelli’s Allegory of Spring, will wrap its extraordinary warmth around the Bulgari boutique on Fifth Avenue.
The exclusive Haltadefinizione image measures over 1900 square feet (180 m2). It is made of 1519 scans of portions of the painting, with an overall resolution of over 28 billion pixels, details sized 15 thousandths of a millimeter. Its file size is almost 300 gigabytes.
