The creation a virtual copy of the priceless Codex Trivulzianus that everyone can access was the purpose of this prestigious project, financed by Bank of America Merrill Linch as part of the Art Conservation Project.
Haltadefinizione® has digitalized Leonardo’s Notebook, the original copy of which can be found in the Biblioteca Trivulziana. The manuscript, whick features important studies on architecture, mechanics, and optics, is held at the Sforza Castle in Milan. The book is very fragile but it can now be read on a touchscreen. Features include the ability to zoom in on the pages, viewing under light, measurements of details, transcriptions of the texts, the ability to rotate and horizontally flip the images, useful for reading Leonardo’s handwriting.
The touchscreens are located in the rooms of the Sforza Castle and are free for all visitors to use.
