“I Colori di Giotto” (Giotto’s colours) is the name of the multimedia installation that Haltadefinizione® designed for the exhibition. This installation allows visitors to explore in great detail, through a reconstruction of the Upper Church of the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, the cycle of the “Legend of St. Francis”. A unique experience is offered to the guests thanks to the use of eight 42'' state-of-the-art touchscreens displaying the life of the Saint. The public, either browsing freely or following the guided tour, will be accompanied in their visit by a series of high definition videos created by Haltadefinizione® in cooperation with Giuseppe Basile. What’s more, the exhibition features two replicas: the “Confirmation of the Rule” and the “Renunciation of Wordly Goods”, both 16 square meters large and at a scale of 1:1, they allow this way an up-close observation of the frescoes.  Thanks to the replicas it will be possible to draw comparisons between the frescoes in their current state, following the various restorations done by the ISCR (High Institute for Conservation and Restoration), and as they would have appeared originally, without the damage caused by the passing of the centuries.
