"Leonardo Exascale, a new resource for research and society, 50 years after the birth of supercomputing in Italy”.
The pre-exascale supercomputer bearing the name of Leonardo will be installed in just a few months on the site of the Tecnopolo of Bologna. It will be a huge growth opportunity for the computational capabilities of national research.
Speakers include some of the most important representatives of national and international research, as well as representatives of both European and national institutions.
Over the course of the event, Franz Fischnaller will present his 8k 3D animation project “THE LAST SUPPER INTERACTIVE!”, render by CINECA. The piece just premiered inside the Deep Space 8K of Ars Electronics Festival in Linz, where the true protagonist was the 16-billion-pixel image of the Last Supper realized by Haltadefinizione.
Other partners of the LSI are: Université De Rennes 1, Inria, Irisa, Insa (F) and Politecnico di Milano, Department of Mechanics (It).
