The event dedicated to The Last Supper at the Ars Electronica Center in Linz was a great success. Haltadefinizione provided a gigapixel image of this great masterpiece, which was shown on the Deep Space 8K big screen. Art historian Lothar Schultes and theologian Michael Zugmann gave the audience a guided tour of the famous fresco. The reproduction measures 52.5 by 29.5 feet (16 by 9 meters) and put the tiniest details on display for the more than 300 visitors who attended the event. There will be many exhibitions and events this year dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci, as 2019 is the 500th anniversary of the artist’s passing.
