“Leonardo by Leonardo: An Ultra-High Definition Tale”, is an exclusive event organized by BPER Forum Monzani of Modena, Italy, with the support of Franco Cosimo Panini Editore and Haltadefinizione, to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s passing.
At the Forum Monzani of Modena, Martin Kemp, the noted Leonardo expert and professor at Oxford University, delighted his audience with a presentation on Leonardo’s genius using exclusive reproductions of his master works. Franco Cardini, the medievalist and professor emeritus of medieval history at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, gave an introduction for Kemp.
Those in attendance could admire a world of images never seen before in such detail, putting Leonardo’s very soul and intuition on display, in a completely new way of experiencing and viewing works of art.
This new technology produces digital photographs of greater resolution and detail than ever before, which allow us to delve deep into the finest details of color, tone and the surface of the painting.
As part of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Leonardo’s death, Martin Kemp has published “Leonardo by Leonardo” with Franco Cosimo Panini Editore, a complete review of his paintings and preparatory drawings, accompanied by ultra-high definition images produced by Haltadefinizione. This is an example of how technology can help redefine the standards of photography for publication.
