As part of the three days of study organized by the Barberini Corsini National Galleries in January 2020, Haltadefinizione performed the photographic scan and digital acquisition of Raphael’s La Fornarina, using Gigapixel+3D digital imaging technology.
The Gigapixel copy of this masterwork is the result of the union of 140 detailed macroformat images, which allow for enlargement to a degree that far surpasses the ability of the unaided human eye. It accurately renders colors, tones and details with clarity that is otherwise impossible.
Beginning today, the public will be able to enjoy a view of Raphael’s masterpiece in a completely new way, which includes the ability to zoom in on the minutest details and into the soul of the work.
