Ultra-high definition reproductions will be produced of the Saint John the Baptist, Saint Francis in Prayer and Narcissus, which is famous despite its authorship being in disupte. These works will become available in the virtual gallery, which will give free access to anyone, to these works from Italian museums. This is important right now, as we do not know when we will have normal access to our museums again.
These three masterpieces will join several other works of Caravaggio that are also in the Haltadefinizione online gallery. There is Judith and Holofernes, which is also held in the Palazzo Barberini and many other works as well, from the Galleria Borghese in Rome, the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
With this new technology, anyone can enjoy a new way of viewing works of art, that allows a very close view of the work that surpasses our normal vision.
